Why Join Corbell PTA? 

Welcome to Corbell Elementary! The PTA exists to bring educational programs and resources to Corbell students and their families. The PTA collects membership dues when you join, and conducts ONE fundraiser per year. With these funds, the PTA provides:

FAQs

1. Who can join Corbell PTA? Anyone with an interest in supporting Corbell: parents, grandparents, teachers, staff, friends, community members, business owners, etc.
2. I joined PTA last year. Do I have to join again? Yes, a PTA membership is only valid for one school year. You must join each year.
3. I already pay taxes to public education. Doesn’t the school and PTA receive everything they need? Because the PTA is an independent non-profit organization, it receives no financial support from the public school system. There are many things that are not funded by public tax dollars and PTA can bridge the gap to provide some of these essential items to benefit Corbell students and staff. 
4. If I join PTA, do I have to attend meetings? No, you do not have to attend meetings. General PTA meetings are held in the evenings, 5 times a year, usually in conjunction with a school program. Come when you can! The dates are on corbellpta.org 
5. If I join PTA, do I have to volunteer? Joining PTA does NOT mean volunteering. We welcome volunteers and value every minute our parents give to help, but we know how busy our parents are. Only volunteer if and when you can. Your membership alone is a great show of support!
6. What else does PTA do for me and my family? PTA keeps you informed about what is happening at Corbell. PTA provides opportunities and avenues for you to connect with other parents, teachers and school staff. PTA advocates for our students at the state and national level. The bigger our PTA, the stronger our voice! PTA members receive exclusive offers and discounts at many well known businesses, such as Disney, Universal, Budget, Avis, Six Flags, Hotels.com, and Great Wolf Lodge.
