LETTER FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Corbell takes pride in being a GREEN campus, so all the information you need will be available on our website.
►CALENDAR and BOARD ROSTER – The 2017-2018 PTA Calendar of Events and PTA Board Officers and Committee Chairmen are located on the PTA website. Please contact any of us if you have questions.
►MEMBERSHIP - Your membership helps fund the programs and activities the PTA provides each year. It doesn't mean you have to volunteer but it will allow you to be in the know about what's happening at school and provide input into the decisions that affect your child. Remember: Student Directories will be provided to PTA members ONLY! Please contact the Membership Chair with your membership questions.
►VOLUNTEERING - The PTA loves volunteers. We will have many volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Remember: All volunteers must complete the FISD background check prior to volunteering. This must be completed every year. Please go online to complete yours today. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator with your volunteering questions.
►FUNDRAISING - The Wild Walk is back! Our annual walk-a-thon is Corbell’s one and only fundraiser and continues to be a huge success. The Walk will take place on October 13th, and we need A LOT of parent volunteers to make this event happen! If you’d like to be a part of the fun, or if you have a business that would like to sponsor the event, please contact the Wild Walk Coordinator.
►PROGRAMS – As you now know, much of your PTA’s energy and budget are focused on providing programs that are beneficial to you and your children. We have planned a year full of quality programming that we hope will enrich our families’ lives and provide a little fun too. Please direct your programming questions to the Programs Coordinator.
►BOOK FAIR – Your PTA will again host Scholastic book fairs in the fall and spring. To be a part of either fair, contact the Book Fair Coordinators.
►COMMUNITY PARTNERS - From Kroger to Spring Creek Barbecue, Corbell families have several opportunities to support local Frisco retailers while benefiting our school. Look for a complete schedule of community spirit events on our website, and contact the Community Partners Coordinator with questions.
►CULTURAL ARTS – Corbell students will have many ways to explore arts, culture and talent this school year. Your PTA hosts the Reflections Program in the fall, a Multicultural Night in the winter and our very popular Talent Show in the spring. Please direct your cultural arts questions to the Cultural Arts Coordinator.
►ROOM PARENTS – A valuable way to volunteer is by being a room parent for your child’s class. Please direct your questions to our Room Parent Coordinator
►SPIRIT STORE – Corbell spirit wear will be available at Meet the Teacher Night and throughout the school year. For more details, contact the Spirit Store Coordinator.
►SAGE (Special and Gifted Education) - SAGE is a committee within Frisco ISD PTA for parents, teachers and students in Special, 504 and/or Gifted Education. Your SAGE chair works to promote a close alliance between parents and educators of diverse learners in hopes of benefiting all children. Direct your SAGE questions to SAGE coordinator.
I encourage you to become part of Team Corbell and join us for an exciting year! Please contact me anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org.
